Waiver SSGN26
Alcohol, Drug and Tobacco-Free Event
In accordance with Livermore Valley Joint Unified School District Board Policy BP 3513.3(a), “The Board prohibits the use of any tobacco products at any time in District-owned or leased buildings, on District property and in District vehicles.” Alcohol, vaping, e-cigarettes, illegal substances, or other products of this nature are not permitted at the Safe & Sober Grad Night event. Every student in attendance will be breathalyzed and any student who is found to be under the influence of drugs, alcohol, or to have vaping, electronic cigarettes or other vaping products on his/her person will be refused entry and a parent/guardian will be called to pick-up the student. Ticket prices will NOT be refunded.
Attendance
Graduating seniors from Granada High School or Livermore High School may attend their own Safe and Sober Grad Night event. Graduating seniors in attendance at Vineyard Alternative school, who are in good standing, may attend the Safe and Sober Grad Night of their “home” school. Ticket purchase and all corresponding paperwork is required. Any senior who is removed from graduation ceremonies will NOT be allowed to attend Safe and Sober Grad Night. Their ticket price will NOT be refunded. Scholarships are available for graduates who are unable to afford the ticket purchase price. Please contact Jason Cain at jcain@lvjusd.org
Check In/Out
Doors open for check in at 10:00pm on May 29, 2026 and close at 11:00pm. Students are expected to stay for the duration of the event which ends at 3:00am the following morning. Students who wish to leave early must have verbal permission via phone call or text with a parent/guardian from the event using the parent/guardian contact phone number provided on ticket purchase paperwork. An alternate contact number for parent or guardian must be provided at check in if it is different than what was supplied on original ticket purchase paperwork. ALL graduates in attendance are checked in and out by a Safe and Sober Grad Night volunteer (Student Resource Officer, citizen police academy volunteer, parent volunteer or campus supervisor).
Dress Code/Behavior
This is a fun and casual event, but Livermore Valley Joint Unified School District Dress Code will be followed. Please consider bringing a sweatshirt or jacket as the event is both indoors and outdoors. A coat check is available for each graduate to store items. However, the Safe and Sober Grad Night committee is not responsible for lost or stolen items.
Proper behavior is expected. Unruly students will be isolated until a parent/guardian arrives to take the student home. Use or possession of alcohol, drugs, drug paraphernalia, or weapons will not be tolerated. Parents/guardians and police will be immediately notified. Smoking, tobacco products, vaping products, or outside food and beverages are not permitted.
Security
A combination of parent volunteers, community police volunteers, campus supervisors, and school resource officers will be at the event to chaperone. Areas of the school where the event is taking place are fenced in or otherwise marked off. A bag check is available to every student in attendance and is in a location that is manned by volunteers. Students must present the required form of identification to deposit or retrieve items from their “bag.”
Safe and Sober Grad Night volunteers make every effort to provide a secure environment, but are ultimately not responsible for lost or stolen items.
Ticket Sales
Each school has discretion to offer SSGN tickets at a price point that drives early or promotional purchases to enable them to meet their fundraising goals. Revenue from these ticket sales are used to place deposits on entertainment, finalize payment to vendors, purchase food and non-alcoholic beverages, and purchase prizes for the event. Ticket sales at the door are cash ONLY.
I have read and agree to comply with all Safe and Sober Grad Night Policies outlined above.
